GUIDE · Error codes

C:13, C:32, E:61 and E:91 as listed in this model's handbook.

Applies to: MVC-FD71

Before starting

Protect your files. Formatting or deleting can erase photographs. Make a separate copy first.

C:32:xx

Disk-drive trouble. The handbook suggests turning the camera off and on. It does not identify a failed component from this prefix.

C:13:xx

The FD71 handbook lists an unformatted or unsuitable floppy disk. Try a compatible spare before changing a disk that holds photographs.

Formatting is destructive

Formatting erases the pictures on the disk or card. Copy or recover files you want to keep before using the formatting option mentioned in the handbook.

E:61:xx / E:91:xx

The handbook directs these errors to service personnel. Write down the whole code, including the letter and the last two digits, for example E:61:10.
